Arielle Hatton

Arielle is currently a senior at Palisades Charter High School where she is a lead prosecutor on her school's mock trial team and editor-in-chief of her school's newspaper. In addition, she is currently interning at Spolin Law P.C. and hopes to use what she has gathered during her time there to become a criminal defense lawyer herself.

Shani is a junior at Shalhevet High School. She has participated in the mock trial competitions since middle school. Shani is very interested in all aspects of the justice system and looks forward to learning more about the impact she can make.

Anirudh is a Sophomore at Palisades Charter High School. He has participated in Mock Trial since 6th grade and is particularly interested in the role of a prosecutor. After high school, he hopes to attend Stanford University and major in finance and engineering.

Siena is a sophomore at Milken Community High school. She has been interested in law and the justice system since middle school. She will be participating in Mock Trial at UCLA this summer and at her school in the Fall. Siena is passionate about finding the truth and having a good debate. She is looking forward to a future career in law as a corporate lawyer.

Maddie is a junior at Mira Costa High School. She is very passionate about advocating for the civil rights of POC and other minorities. She recently interned at The Law Offices of Grace A. Lou and intends to intern at another law firm this summer. She hopes to pursue a career as a human rights/social justice lawyer.

Madeleine is an incoming senior at Wilbraham and Monson Academy in West Massachusetts. She participates in Model United Nations and has received awards from both Yale University and Cornell University’s Model UN conferences. In addition, Madeleine is also extremely passionate about working with children and adults with special needs. She is on the board for her local Best Buddies chapter, is a PCA for her disabled brother and is an aide for special needs children at a local summer camp. She hopes to combine her two passions and become a human rights lawyer focusing on working with the disabled community.

Henry is a Junior at Shalhevet High School. His participation in Model Congress and Mock Trial as a prosecutor has sparked a strong interest in law and debate. He looks forward to learning more about the Justice System and gaining real world experience in the legal field.

Priscilla is a junior at La Jolla High School in Southern California. She has been interested in law since middle school and joined Mock Trial her sophomore year. She is very passionate about civil rights and gender equality and works towards gender equality as the President of her local Girl Up club and Treasurer of her city's coalition board, both associated with United Nations Foundation, Girl Up. One day, Priscilla hopes to practice law or go into politics. She is excited to gain knowledge and experience in the legal system by working with SMJL.

Harrison is a Junior at Northwest Yeshiva High School where he serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper. He is passionate about multilingualism and volunteers as an English language tutor. Harrison currently participates in his school's Moot Court competition and looks forward to learning more about immigration and environmental law.

Ethan is a sophomore at Palisades Charter High School. He really enjoys playing video games and aspires to go to an Ivy League college. Ethan is interested in making an impact through the power of social media and technology.

Brendan Feng is a freshman at Loyola High School. He is very interested in debate and has been a part of Model UN and Speech and Debate. Brendan is interested in the processes and systems in the Justice System.

Trevor is a freshman at Geffen Academy at UCLA. He has been interested in the field of law since middle school. Currently, he works to help tutor students from across the country. He has a passion for helping people in underrepresented communities and is particularly passionate about LGBTQ+ activism and social justice. One day, he hopes to become a civil rights and constitutional law attorney.

Rachel is currently a junior studying at Tanenbaum CHAT in Toronto. She volunteers for the United Jewish Appeal in Toronto and tutors students in need. Rachel has sparked an interest in the Justice System and is excited to participate and be a member of SMJL. She is passionate for making a difference in this world.

Sean is a Senior at Council Rock High School North in Pennsylvania. He is attending Penn State University where he'll study political science and law. Sean is a member of Gen Z for Change where they worked directly with the Biden administration during his campaign and now promote social justice through the media.

Rosie is a junior at Tanenbaum CHAT High School in Toronto, Canada. She has participated in Model UN, volunteers at KCC an organization to help children with special needs, and volunteers at ShalomTaskForce to help victims of domestic abuse. She love volunteering and giving back to her community. She is very excited to be a member of the SMJL and help out in anyway possible.

Nora is a Sophmore at Geffen Academy at UCLA. She’s a big advocate for Black Lives Matter and Women’s Rights. She hopes to study computer science and law at university and use her skills to help POC fight against racism in the justice system. Nora has been interested in law since she was in middle school and is excited to join SMJL to help make a change.

Charlie is a junior at Mira Costa High School. She is her school’s NHS vice president and is director of public relations for a nonprofit organization called Artful. She is very interested in digital art and design. She hopes to pursue a future career in either engineering or medicine.

Lainie is a junior at Holmdel High School in New Jersey where she has been a member of the mock trial team since freshman year with experience as both a witness and a lawyer. She is an editor for the school newspaper and an active member of the politics club. She has been interested in law and the justice system since middle school and is looking forward to a future career in law, politics, or journalism.

Matthew is a rising junior at St. Joan of Arc in Mississauga, Ontario. Matthew developed a passion for research and law in middle school through speech and debate club. Now in high school, he competes with his school’s team in mock trial events held by the Ontario Justice Education Network. Aside from law, Matthew is interested in corporate finance and represents his school in DECA. Matthew aspires to become a transactional lawyer.

Kirkland is a university student and entrepreneur from Canada that specializes in the social media niche. He knows his way from the aesthetics to the algorithms of online giants like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. His main role within the SMJL organization is the social media managing for lawyers and firms.

Avani is a Senior at Palisades Charter High School with a passion for Civil Rights and Social Justice. She is a four-year delegate of the California YMCA Youth and Government and was a Committee Chair. She plans on majoring in Political Science and then attending law school to become either a Constitutional Lawyer or a Corporate Lawyer. She looks forward to learning more about the Justice System and impacting society through the power of law and social media.
